BAHH depends on many dedicated volunteers to accomplish our mission of building affordable housing in an area of the country where the shortage of such housing is particularly acute.  We need your help, so get involved today!  Here’s how:

• Help maintain our website.  Many of us old timers aren’t anywhere near as good on the computer as our younger friends.  If you enjoy that sort of thing, it’s something we still need help with, now that we have our site up and running.

• Assist us with public relations.  If you like to design fliers, brochures, write public service announcements or press releases, we can use your talents.

• Fund raise.  Unfortunately, we can’t build homes without land and materials, and these cost money.  Stuffing envelopes for donation requests, working to organize one of our special fund-raising events, coming up with new ideas – those are just a few examples of what you could do to help us.

•  Join our board or a committee.  If you like shaping policy and getting involved in hands-on work, we know you would enjoy working with us. 

• And, of course, help us build our next house!  Cut wood, pound nails, hang sheetrock, install wiring and lighting, paint walls.  There are plenty of tasks to do for those of you who like to get your hands dirty.  It’s a congenial atmosphere, and no experience is necessary.  You will learn on the job.
